Who We Are
The Black Excellence Community, Inc (BEC) is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) charitable organization founded in 2019.
Our grassroots organization aims to unify, celebrate and enrich people of color and foster a positive renewal of the City of Poughkeepsie's image.
The Black Excellence Community Scholarship provides opportunity and financial assistance to Poughkeepsie High School graduates to further their education by attended a 2 or 4 college/university.
We have various ways you can stay involved whether it's volunteering or helping with programs and collaborating on projects.
You can donate towards our scholarship fund or programming.
